Hydromol is a light and gentle moisturising emollient cream. It helps to smooth the skin by sealing in moisture and keeping the skin hydrated. It contains the unique active ingredient, sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate in a light, fragrance-free cream which is easily absorbed by the skin and provides effective hydration. The cream not only attracts moisture to the skin, it forms a protective barrier to lock it into the skin, to keep it hydrated and moisturised. What is eczema?
Eczema (also known as atopic dermatitis) is a skin condition that can affect both children and adults. It causes the skin to become itchy, dry, cracked and red. For most people it is a chronic (long-term) condition that they will have to manage for the rest of their life, although it is possible to improve the condition over time, especially if it developed during childhood. Eczema can affect the skin on any part of the body, but it tends to most commonly affect:
- Backs and fronts of the knees
- Outside or inside of the elbows
- Around the neck
- Hands
- Cheeks
- Scalp
It is possible for those with eczema to experience periods when the symptoms are less noticeable, as well as periods when symptoms become more severe, which are known as flare-ups. The flare-ups can be triggered by different factors in the environment.
