Glucomen Areo Sensors are testing strips used for self-testing blood glucose. They are used with a glucose meter to accurately measure the amount of sugar in your blood which is an important tool in managing diabetes.
What is blood glucose monitoring?
Blood glucose monitoring is the measure of sugar in the blood. Monitoring this is especially important for people with diabetes. Diabetes causes blood sugar levels to rise or fall to dangerous levels, if you’re diabetic, checking your blood sugar regularly can help prevent medical emergencies.
How to use Glucomen test strips
In order to use these test strips you will need a glucose meter and lancet. The lancet is used to take a blood sample which you will apply to one of the Glucomen test strips, and the meter will take your reading. Firstly, wash and dry your hands before touching the test strips then insert the test strip into a compatible meter. Using a lancet device, make a small puncture in your fingertip to draw blood and then apply a tiny amount of blood to the test strip.
