    How It Works

    Gaviscon Advance contains sodium alginate and potassium bicarbonate. When it comes into contact with stomach acid, it forms a thick layer that floats above the stomach contents. This acts as a physical barrier, preventing acid from travelling back up the food pipe and causing discomfort.

    How to Use

    • Adults and children over 12 years: 5–10ml after meals and at bedtime, up to four times a day
    • Children under 12 years: Only under medical advice
    • Shake bottle well before use
    • Do not exceed the recommended dose
