EMLA Cream 5% - 30g

Ingredients:

Lidocaine 2.5% w/w and Prilocaine 2.5% w/w.
Other ingredients may include macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, carbomer, and purified water. Refer to the product packaging for the complete list of ingredients.

Dosage:

• Adults and children: Use as directed by a healthcare professional or according to the product leaflet.
• The amount and duration of application depend on the area being treated.

How to Use:

• Apply a thick layer to the required area of skin.
• Do not rub the cream into the skin.
• Cover with an occlusive dressing if advised.
• Leave in place for the time stated in the leaflet before the procedure.
• Remove excess cream before use of the treated area.

Side Effects:

• This product is generally well tolerated.
• Temporary redness
• Mild swelling
• Skin blanching
• Burning sensation at the application site
• If severe irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Do not use if allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, or similar local anaesthetics.
• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes and inside the mouth.
• Do not apply to broken skin unless advised by a healthcare professional.
• Use with caution in infants and young children.

Drug Interactions:

Storage Instructions:

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
