Doctor Gut IBS Relief capsules contain the two active ingredients dioscimite and simethicone to quickly and effectively relieve abdominal pain, diarrhoea, bloating and flatulence. Diosmectite, a natural mineral clay, works by capturing toxins, bacteria and rotavirus, preventing them from entering the intestinal membranes where they can cause a flare up in your IBS symptoms. Whereas simethicone works by joining together small gas bubbles into larger bubbles that can pass easily through the body.

What is the recommended dosage?

Always take Doctor Gut IBS Relief capsules exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Online Pharmacy 4U pharmacist has told you. Take 2 capsules 3 times per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

How does simethicone relieve bloating?

If you’re feeling bloated and gassy, the best medicine to try is simethicone, which works by bringing together the small gas bubbles in your gut to form bigger bubbles that can pass through your body more easily.

What is IBS?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a condition that affects the digestive system, and it is quite common. You may experience symptoms varying from stomach cramps, bloating, gas, diarrhoea and constipation. Your symptoms may come and go, last for a period of time, or you may find that certain things trigger a flare-up.

What causes IBS?

The exact cause of IBS isn’t yet known, but there are some factors that are common in people with the condition. If you’ve got an abnormality in your digestive system, it may cause discomfort when releasing gas or stool. Your brain won’t send the accurate signals to your intestines that can result in your body overreacting to the digestive process, causing discomfort, constipation and diarrhoea.

You’re more prone to developing IBS if you’ve had a serious bout of diarrhoea caused by an infection, or if you’ve got a lot of bacteria harbouring in the intestines. Stressful situations can also be a trigger for IBS in certain people, especially if it occurred during childhood.
