Balneum Cream

Balneum cream contains 5% urea/ceramide and is used to treat eczema, dry skin, and other conditions.

Urea is the main active ingredient and it helps clear dry skin in three different ways. It moisturizes, helps to stop itching and removes dead skin cells (keratolytic). This cream is suitable for those with sensitive skin as it does not contain any fragrances, artificial coloursants, or preservatives.

Balneum cream can be used for up to four times as long as other creams, according to tests. The cream can be applied twice daily, especially after bathing to keep your skin moisturized.

Dry skin is caused by a lack in water in the outer skin layer (stratum corneum). The skin becomes dry and loses its flexibility, which can cause itching and scaly. The outer layer can retain water from the deeper layers. The top layer has a layer of sebum which is a natural oil that holds the skin cells that have been damaged. They reduce evaporation, and help retain water on the skin's surface.

As we age, our skin starts to dry out more quickly. Hot water and soap can make the problem worse. Moisturising bath oils can help dry skin conditions like eczema or dermatitis. Regular use helps to maintain and restore the skin's smoothness. This will reduce the redness, itching, and scaling of the skin. After using moisturizing bath oils, it is important to dry the skin. Rubbishing can cause the product to lose some of its moisture. Regular use of the product can help prevent flare-ups in cases like eczema.
